How to select the proper sprocket

Different types of materials

The ease of use of chain wheel products is not only related to the specifications but also related to the product materials. Different materials have different lengths, and their wear resistance will be affected accordingly. The impact resistance during use is also a key factor affecting the quality of the product. The more common materials, mainly low carbon plastic steel and alloy steel, these materials can give play to the corresponding characteristics to provide users with different satisfaction.

If you want to choose the appropriate sprocket products, you must first select from the strength and wear resistance. If the running speed of the scenario we use is relatively low and the transmission is relatively uniform, we can meet the demand by selecting medium carbon steel materials with lower prices. If it runs faster during construction, it is necessary to consider medium carbon steel with a higher strength to meet the demand better.

Precautions for replacing old sprocket

Chain wheel products are critical components in many mechanical products, so their function cannot be underestimated. Take agricultural machinery equipment as an example. In case of chain wheel failure, it must be replaced in time. Otherwise, it is easy to cause increased fuel consumption and challenging to start. Of course, it is easy to damage the machine if the situation is serious. However, it is also difficult to replace this part. Here, the chain wheel manufacturer may as well introduce the basic chain wheel better skills:

1. Select the same model
   The sprocket products of the same model must be selected during replacement, which is the minimum requirement. Otherwise, it is difficult to achieve good coordination with other components.
2.  Enlarged parts are not universal.
   This point needs to be kept in mind because the installation wisdom of the chain wheel with a larger size increases the processing amount, which will not only waste time but also reduce the product's service life, which is naturally not a desirable choice.
3. Directionality
   During the installation of the new sprocket, we must pay attention to the basic directivity requirements. We should know that many sprocket products have directivity. If we are negligent about this, it is easy to damage the parts.
